Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and driven Communications Specialist to join our dynamic team based in Lancaster. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing communication strategies that enhance our brand presence, inform our customers, and engage our community. The ideal candidate will be innovative, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans that align with Apple’s strategic objectives.
- Write and edit high-quality content for various communication channels, including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, and social media.
- Manage Apple’s social media presence, including crafting engaging posts, responding to inquiries, and monitoring online conversations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communications.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local media and community organizations to promote Apple’s initiatives and foster goodwill.
- Plan and coordinate public relations events, including product launches, community outreach programs, and industry conferences.
- Analyze communication metrics and leverage data to enhance the effectiveness of communication strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape to incorporate best practices into our communications (including digital marketing strategies).
- Assist with crisis communication plans to protect and maintain Apple’s public image in challenging situations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or related roles.
- Proven track record in writing and editing for a variety of platforms.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices.
- Familiarity with media relations and experience working with journalists.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with design software (Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
- A passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of Apple’s brand and culture.
